Artist Ralph Dalisay is an artist who paints as a hobby. Currently pursuing his dream of becoming an architect, he treats art as a space where he can freely experiment and enjoy his creative freedom. A true explorer, he experiments with various styles, producing collections that very much differ from one another.
Here's Mark's take on "Vessel of Heritage"
"When I started painting Vessel of Heritage, my idea was to create a piece filled
with symbolic motifs. After painting the red border and the silhouette of the vase,
I began thinking more deeply about the concept. I eventually settled on the theme
of land and sea — representing Romblon, my home province.
The border represents the land, with motifs like rice stalks, a maya bird, and a
rabbit. The rabbit symbolizes fertility and abundance — and I included it simply
because I like it. The vase, on the other hand, symbolizes the sea. It features a
fisherman on a boat, along with coral and fish near the bottom. I also included Mt.
Guiting-Guiting in the background to indicate that the scene is set in Romblon."
